British AI Company Nscale Raises $3.36B Ahead of IPO
British AI company Nscale has secured $3.36 billion ahead of its IPO later this year.

Nscale has announced new funding ahead of its stock market debut.
British neocloud company Nscale has raised $3.36 billion ahead of its IPO, expected later this year. The funding takes the form of convertible bonds and underscores the enormous capital costs of building data centers for AI.
The round was led by hedge fund Third Point. Of the total, $2.36 billion is available to the company immediately, while the remaining $1 billion will come from existing investor Nvidia in mid-November. The bonds will convert into shares once the IPO is complete.
Nscale filed for its IPO last week and is expected to be valued at $35 billion on the NYSE. The company plans to raise $3 billion in the offering. Since spinning out of Australia's Arkon Energy two years ago, Nscale has signed more than $103 billion in contracts.
The company is currently developing several large data center campuses, including sites in Norway and West Virginia.
