Microsoft Unveils the New Copilot, an AI Super App for Work
Microsoft has announced a new Copilot app that brings its AI work features together.

Microsoft has officially announced a new Copilot app that combines three AI capabilities.
Microsoft has introduced a new Copilot app that brings AI chat, coding and a digital assistant together in a single interface. As part of the launch, the company also renamed Scout, its AI assistant, to Autopilot.
The Copilot app has three tabs: Home, Code and Autopilot. Home combines Copilot Chat and Cowork, giving users a personalized dashboard of important emails, meeting requests and Teams conversations. Code lets users build apps and automations that can be shared with colleagues as cloud-hosted internal apps.
Autopilot, formerly Scout, is now a cloud-based counterpart that can get work done while you sleep. Aimed at businesses, it integrates with Teams, Outlook and other Microsoft products. Autopilot has its own identity and memory, making it more effective for enterprise users.
Microsoft is introducing a new pay-as-you-go model for Cowork, Code and Autopilot, letting companies keep their AI spending under control. A Copilot license will include access to Chat, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams. With the new Copilot app, Microsoft aims to build the "operating system for work" in the AI era, much as Office defined work in the PC era.
