Why scroll video holds attention better than a slider

A slider flips on its own and wears people out. Scroll video hands control to the visitor, and they stay longer.

A tunnel of rings

A hero slider spins without asking. While someone is reading the first slide, the second has already replaced it. In the end, none of them sticks.

Scroll video works the other way: it moves only when the visitor moves. Want a closer look at a detail? Stop. Want to go on? Scroll. They're in control, and that's why they keep watching.

Where it works best

  • a product worth showing from every angle
  • a place sold by its atmosphere
  • a process easier to show than to describe

Where to skip it

If someone came for a price or a phone number, the film gets in the way. Then the video moves lower, and what people are looking for stays on top.
